About Jamie
Jamie comes from a long line of hearty meat eaters, dairy drinkers, egg crackers and gelitin slurpers. For this very reason she decided to take on the VEGAN CHALLANGE. She cares about animals and she once lived in a barn, she also would like to not be counted in the 3 out of every 5 women who die of heart disease. She just graduated with her B.A. in English from UNM and would like to find a job. Jamie is an aspiring playwright as well as a writer of other things, like vegan groccery lists, and would like to persue writing as a career.
About Jana
Jana is a singer/songwriter and paper shuffler in Austin, TX. Her interest in this project began in what she calls "The Great Depression of 2006," when she decided Austin would be a cool place to be but had no job and no money. Meat costs money. She quit buying meat. Presto! Texas is kind of not the place to be if you're vegan, but if there WERE a place in Texas to be vegan, Austin would have to be it.
